Manningham Ideas Mill

Picture
We are supporting Participate Projects to evaluate and learn from their 5-year Esmee Fairbairn funded project 'Manningham Ideas Mill.' The aim is to create a thriving community business hub in Manningham Mills, owned by the community, operated for the benefit of the community and a catalyst for locally rooted, socially focused enterprise. It will provide the resources and space to incubate great ideas that address local priorities, creating a unique space in Manningham where ideas can germinate, grow and flourish.
This is such an exciting project for us because it is challenging accepted economic norms and changing how wealth is distributed and circulates within economies as well as tackling inequalities.
We will be tracking the project as it evolves, spending time in the Mill and listening to those involved about how it is impacting them and the challenges and opportunities presented along the way.
Our first workshop resulted in some lovely ideas about what the Mill will look like when it is a thriving community hub and focused around 'people achieving their dreams'! We can't wait to see how this project progresses.

If you would like to discuss creative and inclusive evaluation of your project, please email.

THE PEOPLE WE WORK WITH SAY:

‘Claire’s knowledge of the University, sustainability, research and learning techniques was invaluable for the delivery of this successful project. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her through this project and look forward to the roll out and next phase where we are hoping to collaborate once again.' Katie McGuire, Deputy Director of Sustainability Services.
