​Nifty Intern

Via my human geography degree at Leeds Beckett University, I’ve been given the opportunity to do my work placement with Nifty. I have found the team welcoming and well placed within the sustainability field. Through my placement I have had insight into the varying projects that Nifty are involved in while they have provided me the scope to develop new projects within my community in subject matter I'm interested in. As students, Simone and I wanted the focus of our projects to be around students in Hyde Park, in hopes to teach more students about ways they can be sustainable while reducing any eco-anxiety they might have. One of the projects we are currently working on is a sustainability workshop at Left bank, in which is all about giving students opportunities to learn and teach sustainability to younger ages groups, which we have been able to make possible through Nifty’s amazing guidance and support. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with Nifty and have learnt valuable skills that I will take into my future workplace.
