Unorthobox - The impact of Mixed Ability boxing

We are really pleased to be involved with a LeedsACTS-funded project to explore the impacts of Mixed Ability boxing. LeedsACTS is a partnership between the voluntary sector and Universities and so this project brings us together with the University of Leeds and the amazing Community Interest Company, Unorthobox.
The project will involve interviews, focus groups and reflective diaries with a range of people who have experience of Mixed Ability boxing. We are particularly focusing on the impacts of being involved on individuals, clubs and organisations, in order that Unorthobox can build an evidence base to attract further participants and funding.
Nifty's role in the project is to provide pro-bono peer-support to the Unorthobox researcher. This is a great opportunity for our Research Assistant Becki to put her research training into practice and share what she has been learning about Mixed Ability sport! This research will result in an accessible and concise summary that Unorthobox can use to promote their activities. We also hope to leave the organisation with the capacity to carry on monitoring and evaluation activities when the research project is finished.
