State of the VCSE Sector - Leeds City

Picture
Working closely with Volition, part of Forum Central, we developed a State of the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector report for Leeds, with a particular focus on health and wellbeing.

Through the report, we celebrated the work of approximately 3,500 organisations and  70,000 volunteers that make up the sector. We showcased how, together, these organisations are working with people of all ages throughout their lives, and focusing on all the different aspects that impact health from the environment through to primary care provision. We explored the value of the sector in tackling inequalities and in connecting communities with health care provision, as well as the challenges faced in times of limited funding opportunities and, of course, of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This work has been particularly exciting for us as it has given us the opportunity to build on our existing knowledge of the excellent work that is going on in Leeds and to identify areas we can contribute in the future. It has also given us the opportunity to work with some fantastic partners such as Voluntary Action Leeds, Leeds Beckett University and Third Sector Leeds.

Find the key findings from the State of the VCSE report here.
