Our Nifty Values

How we work is as important to us as what we do. We continually seek to embed sustainability in our practices as well as achieving positive impacts through how Nifty operates - it's our third strand 'Nifty activism'. We are led by our values of fairness, generosity and empowerment and we are excited about how we can embed these further as we grow and learn.

 Nifty Employment
We know that a diverse workforce means more innovative, effective and relevant ideas, and more resilient and healthy organisations. In each of our projects, we allocate resources to build capacity in those who have struggled to find employment in the area of sustainability, by supporting them in meaningful and fairly paid work with us. Our first Nifty Associate, Ruth, said 'Claire and Jen's thoughtful and reflective way of working instantly clicked with me, and encouraged me to explore deeper meanings and connections in my work.'
If this is something you would like to be involved in, please contact us for a chat about our upcoming opportunities.

Nifty Well-being
The current environmental, political and social climate is taking its toll on our collective mental health. In each of our projects, we build in space for reflection and look out for ways to use the project and its outputs to contribute to this agenda.

The Nifty 'pot'
We put a portion of income from projects in our Nifty pot. This is part of our commitment to invest in exciting and worthwhile initiatives. See, for example, our work with the Old Spring Wood Community Space.
We are always on the lookout for other ways to use our funds and would welcome suggestions.

THE PEOPLE WE WORK WITH SAY:

‘What I think is brilliant about this work, is that Jen and Claire have been able to cut through huge amounts of complex information to find themes that are then really useful to us. It will help us to focus on and explore what matters.’
