Ruth is a huge sustainability nerd. Fresh out of studying Sustainability and Environmental Management at the University of Leeds, she’s eager to put theory to practice and help make the world a better place. Ruth has worked on projects tackling unsustainable behaviour in students, fostering resource efficiency in SMEs in the Leeds City Region, and engaging wider audiences with Leeds Sustainability Week. Her interest in sustainable organisations came from her dissertation project, where she studied the transformative potential of social enterprises. Spending so much time thinking about it really made her want to go out and be a part of it! Methodical working is where Ruth flourishes. She loves taking a huge task, breaking it down, analysing and building it back up again into whatever new shape it needs to be. Big, complex sustainability issues are what get her up in the morning.
Ruth contributed to Nifty's work with UnLtd and Forum Central before moving on to a new job!
